This camp is for youth and adults with special needs who would benefit from a full week of therapeutic riding. Each day includes a therapeutic riding lesson and a ground lesson taught by a certified therapeutic riding instructor with over 10 years of experience.
Trained volunteers assist as horse leaders and side walkers and each camper is assigned a high school buddy who is with them all day every day. Each day also includes an age and ability appropriate devotion and craft and fun camp activities such as fishing, water games, outdoor education or adaptive archery. Sack lunches are provided daily.
Campers must be able to eat and use the restroom without assistance or bring an aid with them to assist. Lutheranch does have rocky, uneven terrain and moderate independent mobility is recommended for this camp.
